The very best school—truly beyond our expectations.
As a parent of a 2025 Kinder student and an immigrant working in Hermidale, I was initially worried about my daughter’s education and well-being. But from our experience, Hermidale Public School has been nothing short of amazing. The teachers are incredibly supportive and genuinely care about each child. Their regular communication and personal attention to every student’s needs have given me so much peace of mind.
We feel so grateful to be part of such a nurturing school community. The dedication of the staff, their continuous training, and the warm, welcoming environment make this school a wonderful place for children to learn and grow. Thank you so much to the entire Hermidale School team—you’ve made a big difference in our lives. We are so happy here, and we warmly welcome new families to join this beautiful school.— a parent of Hermidale Public School
What we can offer your child
Student success
Our school provides a high-quality, low-cost education that supports every child’s growth. We’re proud of our students’ success in learning, competitions and life beyond school.
In 2025 students at HPS embarked on an exciting project where they authored & illustrated a book, drawing inspiration from the mento text "Under the Southern Cross" written by Frane Lessac.
In this creative endeavour, Stage 3 students engaged in thorough research to gather interesting facts about our local town, including its rich connection to the Ngiyampaa Wangaaypuwan people. They incorporated words from the Ngiyampaa language, such as "thurumpaal" (milky way) and "marrawuy" (red kangaroo), to enrich their storytelling and highlight the cultural significance of the area. They worked alongside our younger students to publish the story unsing Canva.
This project exemplifies the integration of literacy and local studies, encouraging students to take pride in their surroundings while developing their creativity.
